Sarah-n- Dippity

My friend Sarah Thomspon from Spokane makes the most beautiful jewelry. She made the wedding necklace for my sister and in recent years has been selling her pieces at craft fairs, and now at an online store. I told her I would post a link to her online store because her work is truly amazing!

Check it out!

surgery

Well, 2010 started off a bit interesting for us - - I just had to have a Laporoscopy to find a missing IUD (it perforated the uterine wall and was out in my abdomen). Luckily it was found and removed with this outpatient surgery, and there is no lasting damage to me. It was an insane ride getting to this point- many appointments and a fair amount of pain and blood as they tried to find it. The surgery went really well on Friday- - I am just now recovering. I still feel pretty sore and tired, but it is supposed to be a quick recovery. Luckily we were still able to take our trip to Utah (which we had been planning for months), we just had to come back early while Jon still had time off. He goes back to work tomorrow and the house is TRASHED and Laundry has piled up(he was great at taking care of kids and such, thank goodness, but it is amazing how things go downhill when mom isn't up to par!) I'm not worried though - - it will just take me a bit to get things slowly back into order. I just pray that we will be able to work out the bills . . . my medical coverage probably will cover it, but it is iffy. We will just have to see! For now I am concentrating on getting back up to strength.

cousins

Many more pictures to follow- but I had to post these right away. We just went on a little trip to Utah- - and saw my brother Steve and my sister Shauna and their families. So much fun!

Anyway- here are the cousin pictures . . .

New boy cousins born in 2009! Huey Dewey and Louie . . .Just kidding- - Joshua, the oldest at 7 months, Tyler at 3 months, and Nathan at 2 months. A force to be reconned with at future family reunions!!

All the cousins, except the Coons (my sister in Ohio- - we miss you Laura and family!). 8 kids age 8 and down . .

Tyler is 3 months old . . .

We are enjoying Tyler so much. He is super interactive, loves to smile and grab his toy bar. He loves to play the most and is cutest when he is getting his diaper changed. He goes longer without waking up at night- but usually still gets up once or twice, but goes straight back to sleep. Another little detail- he has some really scaly, dry skin on his forehead and cheeks, and a few spots on his arms and legs. I have been puting lotion on it- and that seems to help, but it isn't going away. I plan on asking the doctor about it at his next appointment. So we will see. Anyway- He also LOVES to "talk"- - he coos and experiments with his voice a lot. A talker in the making?? Marcus is especially good with Tyler and helps a lot. We are so happy to have you in our family Tyler!

Our first pets

Well, we finally did it- we got our first pets. We took the kids to the pet store to pick out two gerbils for "Tres Reyes" (celebration of the three kings which happens the beginning of January, a kind of after Christmas celebration- - a tradition Jon learned about on his mission to Argentina). They were sooo excited!! Even though I am a non-pet person (I didn't really have pets growing up), I have enjoyed these little rodents. They are so stinking cute and the kids love them. Jon had picked up a cage at a garage sale last summer- - we just needed to put something in the cage! So- the newest members of the Wilson family are "Remy" (the gray one) and "Rhino" (the tan one). They are named after two of our favorite Disney rodents . . .
