Highlights of 2012 after the move: Brian and Tycie
This could be one long post- because there is so much to write about! Needless to say, I love my new sister-in-law Tycie. Brian and Tycie met over Christmas break (2011-12) went on a date, then decided to keep in contact. She was going to BYU-Idaho for the very first time, and Brian was at BYU-Provo. They were able to visit each other a few times and after a few months their relationshp turned into something more serious. Long distance relationships certainly aren't what they used to be! By the end of May they were engaged, and in August they got married, and are now living a very happy newlywed life. I had the prevelege of meeting her over Spring Break in Utah, when she came down for a visit too. I had talked to her on the phone once and we drove her back to Rexburg, so I had time to get to know her (and her us) better. What a great fit! Mostly, I loved how happy she made my brother.
Right before they got engaged (out to dinner with mom and dad, and Jon and me):
I had the awesome privelege of videotaping the engagement- Brian took her to the top of the parking garage at River Park Square, which has an awesome view of Spokane and River Front Park and proposed there. I hid in our Subuaru (which has super tinted windows) and recorded it as requested by Brian as a suprise for Tycie- - so awesome!!
These pictures are fun because I was seriously just a car away and watched them take them.
I love weddings, especially when the union is bringing so much happiness to everyone. I don't have time to post every awesome picture from their wedding in August, but here are a few of my favorites.
At the Temple:
Laura and Chris:
Steve and Natalie:
Mom and Dad Monson:
Groom's side:
We're all married now- all five siblings!
Family pictures at the reception:
The Monson neices and Nephews!
The five Monson siblings:
Wow- what a group! This is everyone so far!!
The family groups:
Becky and Jon Wilson family (me!!)- Marcus, Cynthia, Lillian and Tyler
Shauna and Pat Mosbacker Family- Hannah, Adam Nathan and Zeke
Laura and Chris Coons and family- Ben, Rachel and Lizzy
Steve and Natalie Monson and family- Josh and Kelsey
The three boys- aren't they cute!
Cousin fun!
I love this picture of Lillian
Tyler and his mop of blonde hair!
Hannah and Cynthia made friends with Tycie's young cousins . . .
Lillian really loved the wedding reception- she made some friends and she loved the flowers, the pretty dresses and decorations. One really cute thing- when Tycie threw the boquet, Lillian was really sad that she didn't get to catch it. She went off, upset but was happy when the bride came over and gave her some special attention and some flowers off one of the tables. So sweet.
Time for them to leave!
We have had the privelege to see them a few more times since the wedding- we have awesome memories of Thanksgiving and Christmas together! They are certainly very happy newlyweds. Ah, true love!
