Christmas pictures

Like many other families- we had a great Christmas! Christmas Eve we had our big Ham dinner (mmmmm- the leftovers we sooo good too!) and I made a special dessert- Cinnamon Roll Ice cream cake (a new recipe- mmmm!).

We had our Scripture reading of the Christmas story, the kids opened their ornaments and new slippers and then we did some Christmas Caroling. The night ended with handing the stockings with care . . .

Santa Came!

A few highlights from Christmas morning:
Thanks Grandparents for the wonderful gifts! Also- thanks to the Mosbackers for the fun game and kids crafts!!

A few more highlights:

Jon worked really hard and refurbished some old Jewelry boxes found at a thrift store into BEAUTIFUL boxes full of fun jewelry. What a Dad! He also fixed one up for me . . . it was exciting because it is the first time I have ever had one like that!

Visit to Columbus

Thanks to the Coons for a wonderful time, and for the fact that both Chris and Jon had the time off! I LOVE how the residency program here does Holidays- splitting the call and clinic so all the Residents get at least one of the weeks off. We had a fun vacation from December 19-23rd . . .

Monday we had a fun day hanging out at the Coons' house with a tiny bit of sledding- and then we BUNDLED up big time and headed to the Columbus Zoo for the "Wild Lights" display. It was awesome! We could see the animals in the indoor exhibits, but mostly enjoyed seeing all of the themed lights, and the light show over the lake. They also had a wonderful show with trained animals that everyone LOVED.

Yes- Marcus is petting a real snake!

The next day we headed to COSI (the Columbus Science Center), which we get into free with our Science center pass. WOW- it didn't disappoint! From the miniature train exhibit, to the Ocean room with a submarine to climb into, to the HUGE children's play area or the Space room- there was a lot to see and do! Definitely better than the one in Detroit- we didn't even get to see all of it. We will be for sure going back there again . . .

My sister Laura with my niece Rachel:

It's hard to see- but Marcus is on a weighted unicycle that goes along a cable over the front lobby. So cool.

We finished off that day with some holiday cookie decorating . . .

Wednesday we had fun at home and took a little outing to "World of Bounce". Boy, I got my exercise that day!! It was a blast climbing and sliding with my little ones (and my not so little ones . . . )

Tyler loved pointing out the HUGE colorful balls hanging from the ceiling - - I think he was also a bit worn out from playing . . .

Lillian loves her cousin Rachel! Best friends in the making . . .

Sadly our vacation did have to come to an end and the night before the day before Christmas we headed home so we could have our own Wilson family Christmas.
