Oregon Coast July 13-20

The salty cold wind and waves, beautiful sunsets, tide pools, and lush forest- all experienced with fun and family- was our trip to the Oregon Coast this summer! The Mosbacker family and my parents joined us at the Worldmark on Gleneden beach to enjoy an awesome week of relaxation and fun!

We had many fun times on our own beach at Gleneden, and at the resort- cousin time!

Of course, the reason for going to the coast- the BEACH!! It was definitely colder than I expected, but after coming home to 90-100 degree July heat, I realized how WONDERFUL the 60-70 degree weather was on the coast for this pregnant mama! We did a lot of beach digging, sand castles, exploring and enjoying the sunshine in our jackets. . . .

We enjoyed lots of amazing scenery- like Devil's punchbowl (with a side trip to Moe's- Yumm), lovely forest walks and geocaching. . .

The smell of carmel popcorn was too irrestible as we watched the fish being brought in at Depoe Bay- - we also loved taking the girl's shopping . . . .

The Oregon Coast Aquarium was probably the kids' favorite outing . . .

I think one of the favorites for the adults was the Yaquina Lighthouse and the Cobblestone Beach. We even saw whales surfacing off the point!

The last few things from the Oregon Coast Trip was the men's early morning hike to some awesome falls (and Geocaching of course), and our little lake day at Devil's Lake! Then it was homeward bound with a few awesome stops . . .

Devil's Lake:

Ahhh- fun trip- I just have to post a picture of the Sunset again . . .

On the way home we stopped at the Tillamook Cheese factory- so fun!

And the best end to our trip- we stopped by the Portland Temple. It was the most gorgeous 75 degree sunny day in Portland, and the Temple couldn't have been more beautiful. It was so fun to show the kids where Mommmy and Daddy were married- and we very much enjoyed the visitor center and the teachings about eternal families. I am so blessed to have this blessing in my life.

What a wonderful trip! You guys make some good looking sand castles. I think we need to take lessons from you. :)
