I can't believe I have a child that is in his double digits now. A full decade old!! We celebrated in mid-April with a "Club Penguin" Party- which turned out AWESOME! Marcus had many friends there and got some great gifts, and we all had a lot of fun. With all that we have been through this year, I was so worried that his party wouldn't turn out well, because I knew how much Marcus needed a good birthday party. I kind of stressed out the week leading up to the party, but all the hard work paid off and we had a great time.
We started with a Pizza Party:
Then moved on to our craft- we made igloos out of paper bowls cut in half so you can see inside, with paper cups for a door- - then covered with marshmallows. They even made "puffles" and added furniture- just like you do on the online game. The kids LOVED this activity, so we didn't have time for any of the other games. AFter the party was over, Marcus built a club penguin complex of sorts- so creative!
Time for cake and presents! I think the "puffle" cakes Jon and I made turned out AWESOME!
I just have to finish by saying how proud of my son I am, and how much I love him. Marcus has come so far and truly is an amazing boy. We have had our ups and downs, but truly, I can't imagine our family without him, and he brings so much to our family.
